On October 20, John Faase, director of Synopsys Group and in charge of the customer success teams around the world, including Chile, met with members of the internship program between Synopsys Chile and the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E).
During the meeting, this year’s activities were presented by students participating in the program, providing information on the relevant subjects offered by the university’s Department of Electronics and the activities led by AC3E researchers who provide students with the necessary training to be able to carry out the tasks involved in the design of integrated circuits.
After the presentations, a tour of the Center’s facilities was conducted to review in greater detail the projects being developed there. The first season of these internships will culminate at the end of this year with the shipment of the design of a digital chip for manufacture, which consists of a block for the acceleration of image processing tasks, whose projection and intention is to benefit the AC3E’s industrial projects.
