Researcher Dr. Felipe Tobar of the Advanced Center of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E), who is also an academic at Universidad de Chile, published a book entitled “A look at the era of data” with the University Publishing House. The book was co-written with Jocelyn Dunstan and Alejandro Maass, from Universidad de Chile’s Department of Data and Artificial Intelligence and Department of Mathematical Engineering, respectively.

The book targets a general audience and introduces the main concepts of the data era, as the amount of data is increasing exponentially and storage and processing represent great challenges.

Although the publication follows the scientific rigor of data analysis, in line with views of data researchers, its content is aimed at a non-expert audience. The ideas the authors developed through collaboration are presented in a format that can reach many people
