On April 4, students from the Héroes de Chile school in Limache, winners of the Explora congress, visited Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM) to learn about science and technology.
Creating a link between science and society is essential to disseminate the high-impact work developed in the laboratories and to educate people about the challenges and technological advances.
To generate curiosity, the students were given a tour of the facilities of the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E) and learned about developments in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and other projects.
The students ended their visit at the CBDAL Biotechnology Center, where they were able to see the research lines, marine biotechnology area, BeeLab and the agrobiotechnology area.
Exploring spaces where frontier knowledge is generated will allow future generations to consider becoming agents of change and join the group of researchers who provide accurate answers to contemporary problems.
