Dr. José Rodríguez is again the most cited Chilean researcher in the world

The dean of Universidad San Sebastián and researcher at the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E), Dr. José Rodríguez, has been the most cited Chilean scientist in the world for eight consecutive years, according to the Highly Cited Researchers ranking, which identifies researchers with significant influence in their respective field.

“I have published about 770 papers in Scopus and about 250 in journals. There is one that I am very fond of, which I published in 2002 on multilevel inverters, which are devices that transform direct current into alternating current. The journal Transaction on Industrial Electronics, published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers of the United States, is 70 years old and that article is the most cited in the history of the journal,” Dr. Rodriguez told local media outlet Las Últimas Noticias.
