The researcher from the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, Christian Rojas, Senior Member of the IEEE, has been appointed Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (IEEE TPEL), Q1, starting in October 2024. This is an international publication, from the IEEE publishing house, that gathers the latest advances in the area of power electronics with a focus on new components, devices, modules and electronic circuits, as well as on the control of electronic power systems and their applications.

His participation makes him the third active associate editor representing Latin America to be part of this important editorial committee. “It is a tremendous responsibility to be appointed as Associate Editor of TPEL, because it presents the latest advances in the area of power electronics and energy conversion, which requires continuous updating to better understand the field. Being an active reviewer has allowed me to have a global vision of my research area,” said Dr. Rojas.

Dr. Rojas has been recognized three times with the “Outstanding Reviewer Award” granted by the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (IEEE TPEL) journal for his outstanding work as a reviewer of publications in the field of power electronics. The first time was in 2017 and then in 2021 and 2023.

It is worth noting that researcher Christian Rojas is part of the Renewable Energy and Power Conversion line of AC3E, where he works specifically on electromobility systems, microelectronic systems, photovoltaic energy conversion systems and digital control of power converters. In addition, he is a researcher in Line 5 of the Solar Energy Research Center, SERC Chile. The AC3E researcher is also Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics, IET Power Electronics and Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems.
