AC3E and Explora Valparaíso present a pedagogical kit to promote early childhood science education

Together with the PAR Explora Valparaíso Program, we co-organized the presentation ceremony of the pedagogical kit The Treasure of Invisible Messages, an initiative aimed at promoting scientific curiosity from early childhood in the Valparaíso Region.

The activity was carried out within the framework of the PAR Explora Valparaíso Program of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, and was led by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, in collaboration with our Center, which is part of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María.

During the event, we presented this educational resource, designed to encourage exploration, play, and scientific discovery among young children, addressing concepts related to wireless communication in a playful and accessible manner. The pedagogical kit was developed collaboratively by early childhood educators and technicians from the Valparaíso Region, together with AC3E researchers Melissa Diago and Alejandro Weinstein, with the support of the Explora Valparaíso team.

This initiative is part of our commitment to opening applied research to the community and contributing to early scientific education. We believe that science is a powerful tool for transforming realities, and that bringing it closer to early childhood is key to strengthening the link between knowledge, education, and society.

From Explora Valparaíso, its Director Víctor Salinas Silva highlighted that “the Incubator is an example of one of Explora Valparaíso’s core pillars: serving as an effective bridge between academic knowledge and the needs of educational communities,” also emphasizing the potential of these partnerships to continue strengthening science, technology, knowledge, and innovation competencies from an early age.

Along the same lines, AC3E researcher Alejandro Weinstein noted that “connecting the worlds of engineering and early childhood education makes it possible to create educational solutions that could not be achieved by working in isolation,” a reflection echoed by our Director, Dr. Héctor Ramírez, who emphasized the value of these collaborations for the scientific and educational development of the region.

The ceremony took place on Monday, November 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the AC3E facilities.
