About AC3E

The Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E) at Federico Santa María Technical University is a research center whose mission is to create knowledge, form advanced human capital and develop scientifically-based technological innovations. The world-class technology developed by the AC3E contributes to raising industry competitiveness, improving efficiency, economy and process quality. In addition, it allows generating value through the creation of products that have an impact on the market and on people’s quality of life.

What is the AC3E?

The AC3E is a research center in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, where academia, industry and society converge, generating collaborative relationships to address the challenges of the future through the development of various projects.

The Center is part of the tradition of excellence and leadership in engineering, science and technology that has characterized the university since its founding in 1931.

To contribute to the technological development and competitiveness of the Chilean economy by achieving excellence in research, fostering knowledge exchange, educating advanced human capital, and generating technology transfer in areas of societal impact through the field of electrical and electronic engineering.

History

The Advanced Center of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, born in 2014 with the award of the Third National Contest Basal Financing Research Partnership Program, PIA, the National Research and Development Agency, ANID.

The AC3E is composed of a multi and interdisciplinary research group that seeks to increase the competitiveness of the Chilean economy through scientific and technological innovation.
