33 Students to Complete Professional Internships at AC3E in 2025

During January and February 2025, 33 students will complete their professional internships at the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, to work alongside engineers on various projects and areas.

Since the Center’s creation, students have been a fundamental pillar, and being able to collaborate with them, in a mutual learning relationship, is an opportunity we seek to enhance year after year with the call for professional internships.

“AC3E’s role is to build a bridge between the Chilean productive and industrial sector and academia. The idea is to bring scientists, academics, students, and advanced human capital closer to industrial processes. And it’s not just about bringing technical capabilities, but also about generating cultural changes and shifting mindsets. That’s why the students’ time here is so important, because in this way and with this transformation in society, we can make this leap towards development,” mentioned Dr. Héctor Ramírez, director of AC3E.

The students will join the Research Unit, in its different research groups; the Development Unit to learn about the entire process of project design, execution, and evaluation; and the Technology Transfer Unit, to explore the commercial link between science and industry.

Margaret Aravena, a student of Programmer Analyst from INACAP Valparaíso, will work in the Development Unit on the “CDP Device, Dynamic Well Control” project, developed with the engineering and construction company HRA Ingenieros Consultores.

“I love the topic of programming and I will be in charge of overseeing the web platform for this project. I am very interested in working on issues that impact people’s lives and that can regulate access to water, especially in that sector, where there is a lot of drought,” said the student.
